3 Farmhouse style kitchens that will make you swoon.

The kitchen is the heart of the home and now that we are careering head first into winter we thought we would showcase some of our favourite farmhouse style kitchens that will make you want to pour a glass of mulled wine and snuggle down until March!

Rustic

We love this rustic looking kitchen, the wood units give the room real warmth and the neutral palette makes it timeless. The ceramic wood effect floor tiles are prefect for a busy kitchen as they are hard wearing and easy to clean, as a side note – ceramic tiles are perfect if you have underfloor heating as they retain heat well and spread the warmth evenly across the entire tile.

The tiles that have been used as a splash-back are interesting because of their shape, the geometric puzzle they create behind the worktop adds a subtle detail and a touch of the modern to this beautifully rustic kitchen

Modern

This kitchen strikes the perfect balance between rustic farmhouse and chic modern. The hot pink on the island, teamed with the transparent stools gives this kitchen an uber modern feel, whilst the exposed brickwork, beams and flagstone floor tiles keep it warm.

Modern meets traditional.

modern_meets_traditional_kitchen

For us this kitchen is the ultimate blend of modern and traditional farmhouse kitchen styles. The slate floor tiles and the Aga (nothing says farmhouse kitchen like an Aga!) are very traditional, but the cabinets and the use of colour bring this kitchen right back in to the 21st century. The white rectangular tiles on the walls make this kitchen feel light and clean.
